if you bring all the necessities with you when you go adventuring, you have like 1 or 2 rows of inventory space left to gather items.
once you have 3 food types, 1-2 weapons, a shield, armor (chest, legs, helm, cloak), a weight-increase belt, a light source, a bow + arrows, a pickaxe, an axe, some potions and a building hammer, you basically have absolutely no space left. can we please get an armor rack or a bigger inventory pls? this is getting a bit ridiculous, and i haven't even got the wishbone yet.
Edit: Forgot to mention the bloody swamp key that needs to be brought to open crypts...
