nothing important I have noticed. It causes the windmill to change directions. It causes the airborne motes to drift another way. It causes rain to fall a little to one side. It can make waves blow in. Stuff like that.

I think it carries your sent towards game you are stalking. Saw a tip that you should stay down wind from your prey, but I can't tell it makes much difference. I either snipe deer from a distance it doesn't matter, or I sprint at the deer and punch them to death like a real viking.
