Can this run on low end PCs yet?
It's a straight forward question. I have a Ryzen3 and the big selling point of me of his game was the art style which heavily implied being low end PC friendly, but it wasn't. Get back to me when you can I guess.

Oh i play the game on two pc's. A i5 10400 with rtx 3060 ti 16 g ram and ssd. i have vsync on with 60 fps. The second one is an old 2014 laptop with i7 and R9 265 gpu 16 gb ram and ssd. On the laptop the game is very playable even with the poor component compared to what we have nowadays. You can try and get refund if you are not satisfied. See by yourself the results is a better way i think.

Graphics aren't misleading, many people just have a poor understanding of what makes a game graphically demanding, they think its all about texture resolution, when that's only a very small part of it.

The art style just implies stylized, not low end PC friendly. Do you even have a GPU or just a low end cpu with the low end integrated gpu? If your computers that low end your not the target market for ANY 3D game in general.

I'm running it on my wife's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ lappytop while I'm stuck on the couch after surgery. Turned everything down except render distance. Little choppy at times, but well playable.

This statement sadly says a lot about class divides living in America in 2021.

Scuze me? This is not just how the US works, but the rest of the world and this is just simple economics. Nothing about classes, just that game developers don't really make 1995 graphical games anymore. Sometimes you have a retro looking gem, sure, but if you cry about the fact that you have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ computer not capable of running PS5 graphics, that doesn't say anything about a country, but a whole lot about you.

It kinda can. I'm running an old i5 with 16g's ram and a video card that's over a decade old. I can run the game, but I'm around 15 or so fps, and large fire and portal effects are killers.

depends on the cpu
the g series are very poor cpus with a decent igpu on them
the dedicated ryzen 3xxx cpus are pretty good

I just ran valheim on an i7, With the integrated UHD 630 or whatever it is , and it actually ran ok-sh @ around 20 FPS. Which is much higher than expected. I think I may have had some draw distance and vegetation set too.

Nope it won't because too many circle jerkers in this community (most came from minecraft or ark which explains passive toxicity around some threads) with wrong answers waiting for you to take the bait and don't try.
The problem is the dev team is too small and they can provide optimizations for low end pc because the game it self runs on a single core lol GPU or CPU is not the bigger problem here it's the optimization but I wouldn't expect then any sooner from such small team.
IMHO they should've gone with the sponsers to get their team expanded and live up to the hype now I don't know, seems like a bad decision, either way sorry for getting side tracked but I don't think they'll deliver such optimization patch sooner at this point, minimum recommended spec banner on Valheim store page seems like a scam to me but still I guess wait some years and see for yourself lol

That's not necessarily true, there are some retro 3D games that will run on a potato. This just isn't one of them because of the lighting effects and terrain deformation. Because most survival games are focused around building on and changing the game world, the genre is notoriously unfriendly to low-end rigs. You could try Subnautica, which seems to run equally poorly on all types of machines but is worth the glitches for the story. Or maybe ARK if you turn everything WAY down (just be prepared to refund it if you don't get satisfactory framerates). Neither of those feature terrain deformation so they're a little more forgiving of underpowered rigs.
Outside of the genre, you might want to check out DUSK. It has fantastic boomer-shooter gameplay and is so retro that it'll run on anything. Also, it's my opinion that mods like Brutal Doom and Project Brutality for Doom II give Doom Eternal a run for it's money with all the modern features they add.

Been meaning to check out NewBlood's stuff for a while, but I wanted to wait until their 1950s Noir themed one comes out. I always recommend checking out the game requirements before committing to it. Games on here will only upset you more if you get your hopes up about them and purchase them without looking at the specs. Hopefully you get to play soon! I saw someone else mention Subnautica, which I also highly recommend. It may be too much for your current pc though. If you need help with the specs let me know, or if they aren't available for you I can try to help. Best of luck!
