♥♥♥♥ THAT! I love the game but I'm struggling to love and even appreciate the developers. This shouldn't even have happened. I'm far from having the gear to combat something like that.

from what i remember, if its not changed at least, the range of raids you receive is dependent on how many bosses you killed, and can only happen when in range of a workbench. the location should not matter (correct me if im wrong)

I was sailing along once in a channel through some swamps when the wolf event started. Red circle appeared at my location, but I kept sailing. Never saw the wolves, but the circle stayed there for a decent amount of time. No workbench in sight.

So after reading this thread, i’ve upgraded my base walls with marble blocks and put as many ballistas down as i could, lets see once this event kicks in^^

afaik the wolf event is the only one that occurs w/o beeing near a bench, i guess the wolves in your world are still swimming^^

Recently had a Surtling event then a few game days later a skele event on a dedicated server. We have a huge base so didn't bother with either of them. More than a game week later I was out and about in the meadows at night and there were 5-6 Surtlings and a whole group of skeles wandering around killing piggies.
We have killed through Moder on that server but are moving from Plains through the Mistlands so I guess we could get Mistlands events now on our meadows base???
Moral of the story, clean up after events as meandering around the meadows like a noob with low health is a bad idea at night, much more than in the past.

Build up a pillar, by raising ground in a single point( made it as safe point against &%$%& wolfs.
It works well vs Seekers and bug warrior:
1.Seekers will fly up and fall down as soon as they attack.
2.Huge bug will roam around in rage

Pull out your bow and nail them to the wall, where they belong...

I was cooking in my fortress ranch split between mountains, meadows, and plains; when they came for me. Standing there with my staff and only a freshly plucked mushroom I was attacked by a 1 star seeker busting in through my crystal windows. How could they reach me? I was fortified. Between myself and these beasts should lie walls of defense. Then I realized. They came from...behind. When the seeker smashed inside I quickly snarfed the rest of my eitr food, but I was not fast enough. The creature destroyed my bed, and then two more flew inside, feasting on my flesh. I awoke at the standing stones, where my spirit had first arrived to the tree of life and death. It would be another three days of spiritual life before my raft made landfall and I reclaimed my fortress.

I built a nice platform for all my buildings and was in the middle of planning some walls. A seeker yeeted me off my base, lmao. I only survived because it was nighttime and there were enough non-bug hostiles in the area. RIP my chickens though.

It can happen in the meadows. I got a visit at my starting base next to the stone circle where you choose your powers.

They really need to nerf the seekers, they ate through my concrete walls and destroyed everything in the meadows - I've been attacked twice already and this is after already losing my gear in the Mistlands.

well, guess its time for that pillar-base in the plains. those mistland creatures are way to overpowered. those seeker soldiers smashed thru my stone walls like butter. no fun a tall

they attacked my fortress and killed all guard lox. that seeker soldier... man...

Thank Goddess I spent the time waiting for the update to build up defenses for my fortress.
Eight meter stone walls on top of raised ground and a deep, wide, trench around it. Though it might be safe as it is in the Meadows.

yeah, the seeker flying ability causes massing damage to your base. they killed all 3 of my beached pet sea serpents, jumping over walls. big sad.
