Make the swamps less dim?
Hello friends, I'm wondering if there's a way to adjust the game settings so that things are more visible when light levels are low, particularly in the swamps. I've tried adjusting my screen settings, but I don't want to turn the brightness all the way for fear of damaging my screen or consuming too much energy. I want to vastly increase brightness and contrast in the swamp area so that I can see better, is there away to adjust graphics in game?

Find Haldor and buy a Dverger circlet. It helps in both the swamp and the Crypts. You'll find that Mistlands is worse even using the wisp light.

I used the simple expedient of turning off all the lights in the room. Makes a huge difference. I have a lighted keyboard, which helps.
Also, nighttime in the swamps is even darker. Not a good time to be there- besides the cold debuff stacking on the wet debuff, that's when the Wraiths come out to play.

it's a shader effect and is meant to be that way.
same effects occur in other biomes as well like the darkness effect you get in black forests where looking in one direction will make the screen black out.

for me, NOT using the graphics feature "SSAO" makes things lighter in general and does make the swamp a bit easier to see in. might work for you too if you still have it on
