inventory crunch kills the adventure
mistlands lays bare a problem that already existed in the game. for some reason, the number of slots and weight capacity doesnt change at all through the game. yeah, you can buy the weight belt, but that can depend on when you find the trader and the belt itself just takes up another slot.
in mistlands, the new whisp light also takes up the accessory slot, which means you cant wear the belt. there are tons of new items to find and bring back to base. more than ever, it behooves you to take a range of potions to help with combat and exploration. all of this compounds to shorter excursions because your inventory fills up so fast. due to the terrain, the cart is out of the question.
anyone else tired of adventuring being cut short because your inventory is full again? i am fine with grinding, like killing mobs, mining, farming, and wood cutting, but the constant muling of items back to base gets old. i want to be able to spend a solid 20-30 minutes exploring without my inventory filling up.

500 steam points says they are going to release a better method for transporting goods just not yet. Thats further down the road. Bet new boats, carts, backpacks.
The reason i state this is because the ashlands is fire and technically, the wood wheels on the cart would just light up like a yule tree and so would any boat. Thus, they will more than likely be adjusting this and creating something epic in the distant future.

a small addition to item slots / effectively more slots would have been nice indeed, throwing carts up and around cliffs ain't fun. And building bridges that get blown to bits later on anyway aint fun either :D

Valheim+, I can't play without it anymore, few tweaks and it's way better
Too bad the game needs a mod to even be playable. The devs should just add a actual configuration menu to the game so on start up all that can be adjusted like Conan Exiles and Ark, but I get the feeling that they like tedium, expect you to play with 9 other people, and build huge sprawling villages full of houses that are just there to house your hundreds of tiny ass chests.

The above is well said so from me a simple +1 for in some way... adding more inventory slots as the game progresses at least.

would be nice if you could upgrade the carry limit belt, to increase the limit and carry slots. cause armor takes up like 6 slots or so already. very limited.

It really is a struggle now, with all the things you need to stay alive in Mistlands. I think I end up with like nine functional inventory slots, or only five or six if I'm going with an emergency portal in tow.

I would like to see a Quiver (arrows) and Food Pouch (food items) to be added to the Vanilla Game.
I won't go down that 'It's to hard so i will use a Mod road', I will play the Developers version of the game and have lots of fun exploring / fighting without modding it to be 'Easy Mode'.

^ This. They probably should increase the base amount of stuff you can carry, both inventory slots and weight, but until then, or if it never comes, mods can fulfill our wishes. Valheim+, I can't play without it anymore, few tweaks and it's way better
I use Valheim+ to increase my inventory slots and weight limit a ton. It's so fun to go out and explore for several hours straight, see dozens of inventory slots filled with thousands of pounds of materials and resources, and bring it all back after a good long adventure.
The way it currently is, you basically go out for maybe 30 minutes, fill up, and that's it. Adventure over. Time to run your meager haul back to base.

I'm just hoping that Valheim+ works when mistlands hits stable. Been waiting impatiently for it to drop so hopefully won't have to wait another week or two for V+ to get updated once mistlands is ready.

Does Valheim+ work with old saves or do you need to create a fresh one after installing?

I will grant that I've long been pushed by this to use the More Slots mod to add a couple rows of inventory space, and for Mistlands I will likely add the Pack Horse mod.

Yeah i feel that, best solution for the game would be an uprgrade to the cart or some kind of bag for the accessory slot that could have another nine item slots or some like that.
