Are those 26 or 45? they look like 26, which might make the offset not work as well, but I'm working on making a series of screencaps to illustrate what I was trying to explain.

OK so the original plan of a 1 meter offset won't work, but a 1/2 meter offest using log poles will. Screencaps will illustrate using 1x1 floor and wall for 45 degree roofing and log beams for 26 degree roofing.

Does that show the overlap visual glitch you get when adding certain pieces? either way its cool to be able to do it like you say but I'd rather have the building piece all the same lol, I'm not one for building for looks but figured it would be a natural end game grind to get something decent looking before I wait for a big content drop in the future.

The way roof pieces overlap, they don't reflect light properly to have the glitch be noticable.

I'm not sure what you mean, there was no way to have the roof without it being noticeable, the only option was to redesign it which defeated the purpose as I wanted it a different way, so now its just like this instead

Thanks for the offer but that doesn't work for me, I don't want it bodged as thats easily possible with other pieces. The hole missing there is not flat and any angled pieces leave a gap visible above and below, it hurts my ocd too much which is why I just made it 1 square wider without ridges and I'll look into decorating the top at some other point, it just seemed strange that you can't build a right angle roof with roof ridges lol

The one meter offset lets you overlap and removes any gaps. Due to the nature of the build pieces, you won't have to worry about a gap at the tip where the inside corner and the outside corner meet.

You can get there with a 1 meter floor tile and a 1 meter wall; then snapping the corner piece to the top of the wall. You can do similar with the angled walls to close the gap cause by using the ridge pieces. If you want I can try showing you in game because I'm terrible at explaining simple things.

Couldn't you just use two short horizonal square timbers connected at a right(90) angle?

You try to connect a Full 26 Degree item with a item that is 26 Degree, but only on half lenght

I'm unsure what failed logic you are trying to use but MATHS is not the issue here, its a missing build piece that doesn't allow roof ridges to connect with a right angle roof, the degrees of the item is irrelevant as shown here the full 26 right angle roof being snug

You are therefore forced to construct a roof without the ridges if you want to do anything other than a straight line as outlined in the 3 photos

Its rather easy for the developers to create the missing piece to allow more creativity instead of being forced to do this
