Don’t Mess With Character Files

I’m not putting this here for help, I’m warning you. Even *slightly* modifying a character file is enough to corrupt the whole thing. Thank goodness for backups, saving me hours of loss, and actually putting me in a better inventory position. TL;DR: Don’t change the files. Be prepared to face the consequences of even trying to.

^^ Yep, spawning things in is the way to do it. I'd never bother messing around with character files.

For anyone wondering if I’m really a cheater and I deserve this, I modified the character file so I could get a Chitin Knife, which I had before. I unfortunately lost it when I put it in a chest of another world which I later deleted. I tried to use Notepad to modify the file, which I was able to do, but it ended up corrupting it, so I guess Valheim’s just smarter than me.

No need to mess with the files.

Look at the one for spawning items.
