We can't predict the future, but seeing as Early Access pretty much always contains optimizations throughout the process, there are likely to be more.

GeForce Now might let you play in the meantime depending on your connection speeds.

In general - don't expect too much. While the game is fun, from the structure so far getting any big improvements would require a major refactoring of even the core-concepts of the program.
Overall the performance, for what it does, is not good, but also not as terrible as most indie-games are.
I would expect than within the next year or so you can get maybe 1/3rd better performance? That#s around the level of improvement you can expect from better code-maturity.

i got around 12 to 15 when i refunded this game a while back. id even settle for 20 to be honest because i really love this game, hell id even play it on Geforce now if possible

Seems like the big low hanging fruit for improving performance on low end machines would be being able to turn off dynamic shadow casting.

What makes you think this. I kind of suspect the same just from noticing the FPS drop in a structure when I have my hammer equipped.

Would be interesting if they ever change that system from the simple leaf branch node count to a more realistic support and directing forces downward .

All the existing buildings falling down.

We have to wait and see what happens.
They will optimize the game to get better fps but they will also add new stuff that will decrease your fps.

What is your GPU I may be able to help you get better performance out of your gpu software and hardware.

Dude this game runs like butter. Check your end before thinking it needs to be optimized.

I'd recommend just getting more ram. The game probably will be optimised at some point, but 8GB ram won't cut it for games in 2021.

Unless you only play older games, you should upgrade.

It does not. I get drops into 20-30 on any graphics settings on my rig that can run much more demanding games say the witcher 3 at no less than 60 fps at all times on atleast medium. That's a five year old chip that was bare entry level when released. The graphics component of it is a modified mobile phone component.

Build a 15-20k instance village or home and come back to talk about performance :p
