the abomination ignore the walls

It breaks the immersion and the atmosphere of the game a lot to see the monster's arms going through the walls as if they weren't there.
will they fix it?
the game loses quality with this, now it reminds me of old poorly made games

In a survival game it's more fun to be able to feel safe inside the construction you've made,
It's fine if he's able to destroy the fragile wooden walls, but his arms should stay out.

Plus if they fixed it tricks like this would be difficult.

Abominations aren't bosses.

Probably won't ever get fixed I believe it is a common problem with unity based games.. subnautica directly comes into my mind where every fish can clip into everything.

You can only fix that for yourself with building the usual defenses here.

In the swamps treehouses are also a thing.

Yes I saw that in Subnautica but just with a shoal
anyway they could make the monster do not approach to the the constructions and use some other method to hit like a tongue or something

Each collision has a CPU cost, the game already suffers from CPU overload, calculating player built objects to each enemy entity attack would sack the CPU more, I understand the frustration but as this game uses a general engine that is not focused on a specific game, it would mean too many CPU cycles get used for too little gain... unfortuanatly.

Im used to watching things come through the walls at this point. Abominations will hardly be the first things thatve busted through my walls like the Kool-Aid Man.

I'm not sure you're going to like the default game very much, given that the raid events system is all about giant creatures piling into your base and smashing everything they can reach.

If you don't want monsters approaching your constructions you need to invest in making it physically impossible for them.

Tree houses you say...I will remember that bit of inspiration when I reach the swamp.

You won't find perfect realistic immersion in Valheim.

Abomination could perhaps be fixed if it's collision radius for moving would be larger but that might make it difficult to get around or attack unless those animations were also changed.

It seemed obvious from the first moments of running around in Valheim that my character was, for practical purposes, a frictionless 2m tall tic-tac and the connection between visuals and gameplay was going to be a little abstract.

Tbh, the only way is to raise earth with the hoe. These are thick enough, and tbh not even stone will stand up to events very well.

It's all about moats and earth walls.

Trolls do it too. The one with a club swings right through the terrain walls about 8 meters. Think of it as lore since Valheim is a mystical plane of existence with spooky critters all running amok.

That could be an explanation, but then, make ghostly arms, justify it from aesthetics
