They came at me in the night, snowy devils. I leapt to the relatively safety of my exhausted silver mine pit and dared the beasts to come try for a side of lean viking meat.

I remember my second "hunt". They all had the misfortune of pissing off a pod of lox. I just jumped on a nearby tall rock and watched the hilarity/slaughter ensue.

My first one happened in the plains as i was trying to stash my blackmetal and take the portal home. Knew i wasn't gonna make it so i take stance on a rocky alcove. Whenever i was beset by 2 or more that attacked at different enough times to throw me off, i just fell back and re-positioned.

To me, the only real problem with the hunt is when pairs several pairs attack with different timing. This can seriously deplete your stamina real quick, leaving you with your big swinging 'whatever weapon you use' limp in your hands.

Run into a Fuling village if you're in the Plains.

Wolves are vertically challenged. Build an upward column of ground high enough to not be in their reach and they're not a problem. Make it at just the right height and you can just iron hammer slam or shoot em to your hearts content.

nothing is worse and makes you feel more helpless than getting swarmed by the hunt.. although stone circles in the swamp can be very, very bad too if you're in bronze gear, or blue pajamas..

I love this event. Yep, Bonemass is your friend here. Make sure you're well-fed (pop the health/stam potions after eating, if needed) then hit the Bonemass ability. Go out there and smash them all down, collect all the pelts/meat/fangs/trophies and praise Odin for all the free resources. :)

Yeah unless you're sailing or harvesting trees, there's really no reason to have any power aside from bonemass equipped. It's great for moments when you get caught out by a fuling patrol, or in this case a wolf event.

Plus I love wolf skewers as a cheap and easily obtainable food, so it's great when the food comes to me.

You just need to find a nice rock to jump on, and pick your targets, or learn to manage your stamina better. I used to run to a safe place everytime this event happened but now that I understand block/stun/fun I welcome the furs at my feet.

There is no shame in moving to advantageous terrain to fight 1x1 or even shoot them all.
Trying to take them all at once on even ground is like trying to go toe to toe with a troll in leather armor... it will not end well.

Bonemass + Two Hander = Dead Wolves.

"you are being hunted" was the wolf event right?
Wolfs are realy odd and kinda in the same as the mosquitoes (by doing way to much alpha damage) and unlike mosquitoes dont change there attackpedern... they just hammer ther attacks with lightning speed.
But here is the way to fight them: get into a corner and use the twohanded AOE ironhammer and keep hammering right bevor they get close.

1000+ hours and i've yet to have this event :(

It only happens in the Mountains or the Plains. Free food and pelts perfect :). Stand still on even ground and look around and time the slash or block then slash.
Have stamina and health poition in the number slots just in case.

Haven‘t had this event for a long time, unfortunately, cause i like it most of all events.

use bonemass power and an iron sledge for the entire event , you will be fine with that , maybe a tasty me/ad for quick stam regeneration
