I would be fine with paid DLC cosmetic options.

I still think they should expand the in game options more, but maybe fancier options like glowing fire bits or something on the paid ones. Kind of like PD2 Mega Masks of generic ones.

Paid for cosmetics, why ?

Why do you want that cool wolf cape ? Do you not like to look cool as a warrior in Valheim ? This aint a bloody mmo, why would you want to have cosmetic DLC ? The game is about being a cool viking in Valheim.
You do understand that the game sold 5 million+ copies, Dead Space 3 got cancelled because it failed to sell 5 million copies... a AAA EA back title that had a massive fanbase failed to sell as much as Valheim (ok Valheim is cheaper but it is early access).
Why the hell would you think they need to DLC it as well ?

I get the confusion, there as to date been no paid for DLC, however the devs have cut the old road map from 4 promised and a lot if Odin wills it, to 2 and nothing else, plus there is the Odin set thats exclusive to the beta players.
If you had 5-6 million players, would you not be tempted to toss in some 'cosmetics' ?

It's a <20€ game. Personally, I have gotten way more than my money's worth, and those who haven't really wouldn't benefit from a DLC anyhow.

Game companies generally have two paths when making a game: Monetize it to fund continued development, or use the proceeds to develop the next game which will then again bring money in.

Personally prefer the prior, as i want to see the game continue, so yeah, all for paid DLC's.

That being said, the game was put up as Early Access with a roadmap containing 4 major updates: Hearth and Home, Cult of The Wolf, Saga Worthy Seas and Mistlands, these should obviously be free, as should any other addition during early access that actually impacts the game, paid content expansions belong in completed games..

Yeah, look at Paradox... paid DLC stacked on paid DLC, they're doing terrible. Right?

Anyway, if getting upset about stuff that might or not happen at some time in the future is something you enjoy, you do you, but this is some "Old man yells at clouds" ♥♥♥♥.

I am not angry, I still support the game, and advertise it... just I I know how it goes ... too popular, why not toss in a few extra's ... hell if I was a suit in the devs team... thats what I would be saying.

It is a nice way for people who have the money and want to support the devs. to give them money for something fun.

Nothing game changing and it hurts no one to add so why would anyone be opposed to it?

Not even saying I would buy anything myself. But as far as paid DLC I find this type the least offensive and an opportunity to give back to the devs for giving us a great game.
