Wraith observation - strike while the iron is hot
I just set up a base on the border between Swamp and Black Forest. It's right next to a Surtling geyser, numerous blob and oozer spawns and the generally regular Wraith visit. It's a good core farming location as I can aggro the Surtlings with an arrow and get in some target practice. I know I can do some hoe work around the geyser for risk free cores and coal but this is more 'sporting' lol
The Wraiths come around pretty regular and my chain collection is growing.
The other day some players were discussing the appearance of Wraiths in the day time. Apparently some can show up related to structures in the Swamp but the free floaters are strictly night spawners.
One evening I had spotted a Wraith off in the treetops and aggroed it over. My aim was a bit off so after my first wood arrow hit it my next few failed. Since it was getting closer it would soon be hard to miss. I let loose a shot that went straight for whatever it calls a head and in midflight it turned daytime and the Wraith vanished right before my arrow nailed it.
So don't hesitate kids and make every shot count......

Same with serpents, Was out night hunting them and got one to spawn, so headed for shore for the kill so I could get the scales and possible trophy also. Got to shore, had to fight off some Greydwarf's so by the time I got back to the serpent it turned daytime and it disappeared as it swam away. This does not happen with serpents that spawn during a storm, they stay around until you finish them.
