Yeah fk the cloud for this game, I loaded it up yesterday and its got a rollback option now, still missing an entire seed but hopefully that keeps anyone else from losing their saves.

same issue. spend some hours building. now it dropped me at the spawn. Eikthyrs head is there. but map is reset. and my base is gone too. bummer

that's the most awful bug I can think of and if this happened to me I would never play again.

It might be a resurgence of the cloud sync bug that happened a few months ago. Lost several hours of play with a buddy. If you're for it, just cheat your stuff back in. That's what I did.

Until this gets fixed, perchance turn off cloud for your worlds and characters. Or check the files and look for the backup, since maybe it's there.

Thank god i dont use cloud save, there are other games on steam, that tells you to turn off it, since it breaks there games too.

Same thing when the frost cave update came out, only I lost about 300 hours haven't played it since. Seriously discouraging that's still happening.

Thank you all for the cloud save suggestion. I made it save only to my ssd and havent had an issue since!
