Slings/Uses for stone

So my friend and I were playing the game and thought that adding slings and or sling-staffs would be a neat idea for the large quantity of stone you get while also serving as an early game range weapon when you don't feel like chopping wood all day long.

Not to mention there seems to be a bug with the stone piles as it only provides one stone rather than the 50 it took to make. I don't know if it is more of an aesthetic or an early game storage idea for your stones.

I'd be surprised if it wasn't used by pretty much everyone. Incredibly simple and and effective for what it was.

Sling is great idea, stone wont be a problem. I'd love to have missile weapon at beginning..

Did Vikings use slings and sling staves?

If you plan to make a lot of the stone walls and such later in-game, you'll burn thru stone fast depending how big youre building.

As for the stone piles, I've always received the 50 back from it, same with the wood

I've had a handful of wood/stone piles break and only give me 1 back, uncommon and usually people respond with. "Was it full health?" or "Did you repair it first?" but like, I store them under cover of a little shed and they're all full health.

And yeah, stone burns sooooo fast it's almost depressing later on in the game.

Could be cool. But if you plan on building very much with stone you definitely don't want to be using it for ammo. Some of the stone building I've seen people do just baffles me with how much stone they must have mined. I spent hours just on getting the small amount by comparison that I used.

Well guess yall are getting unlucky with them. Are you breaking them with a pick/axe? or using the hammer to dismantle

Apparently it's a bug. It happens with other objects you break down too. You just get back 1 of each of what it's made of.

I always deconstruct with a hammer.

Well it would still be an early game item since you would get a bow later on. I don't imagine people using the slings as a forever item. But yeah, when I deconstruct the pile, I only get one of it back so we have been using the items purely aestheticly.

Break stone piles with a hammer to dismantle them. Don't smash them with a weapon.

I really like the idea of being able to stun deer and such in the early game so you can melee them up close, I imagine it would be made of boar leather so not hard to get early game and having more use for stones before stone building would be neat.

Build bench > Build catapult > Add stone to catapult inventory > Launch

I wish they make pointless nonsense like catapults so idiots like me can do jackass things.

stone is arguably the hardest thing to get enough of, or equal to basic iron. So many per rock building piece, so many for each terrain edit, so many for everything else too. Even cracking the big rocks in the plains is just a drop in the bucket. At least iron is only 1 per beam.
