I find it's slow too, but not close to that long. I am thinking of going back to local saves and turning cloud off for this game.

Be careful using Steam Cloud for saving. I lost my character one day when Steam Cloud decided it was not going to work. Was only just getting set to go for iron but that is not the point. Steam is garbage sadly getting worse every week they update things.

We turned off Steam Cloud long ago, so them wanting to upload Cloud stuff is baffling to me.

Steam in its wisdom turned cloud saving back on in properties/general for some games.
You can still have Steam cloud disabled but if the setting is ticked in general properties
then the game saves to the cloud anyway. What it does with that I don't know.
I've always used local saves for all games. Don't we have TB drives these days?
Why do people even bother with the cloud?
