Agreed, but some people need that push. Some people find it too hard to delete something they put so many hours into.

No, sorry. Would be way too frustrating for me. I also enjoy building and crafting too much, to start all over again.

Finally got enough cores to progress past that part. Rolled birch logs to get fine wood bow. Cheesed a troll from across a ditch. Troll tunic made enough of a difference to help with the crypts. Also said "nope" and shut the door a few times instead of insisting on clearing the whole crypt in one go.

I like building too much to do this. Not about to spend 70 hours making functional and aesthetically-pleasing bases only to delete the server because I fell off a tall rock.

I've been trying it, but I'm not very good at it yet. That first crypt before I get access to bronze always seems to get me. Starred skeletons can kill me in one or two hits. I know, full deer armor, best food, less stubbornness, more patience.

You should have troll armor, they are easy to kill with a bow.

You can get a finewood bow w/ out a bronze ax by chopping down trees near a birch or oak.

You can roll a log into an oak till it falls, then roll that oak log into another oak until it falls, then bump them into each other till they break, netting you plenty of fine wood for a finewood bow, Then kiting Trolls becomes much more reasonable and you can work on your troll armor.


If anyone is interested in co op hardcore let me know...I'm game.

I've died dozens of times (deleted character/world) and started over in the past 6 weeks.

Over confidence is my biggest killer.

I've not made it to Bonemass yet. I usually do something stupid.

But I love it. I love playing very cautiously. I love knowing death is permanent.

After I die, I say a few choice words but I try to apply what i've learned in the next attempt and i'm always ready to start over.

People already do this.
