yes video drivers and specs are a huge drain on resources.. if you running off a laptop.. make sure the video for game is from the High performance video not the default video normally an intel thing of zero ability . not so much failing but not being setup,not being optimized,et al... try launching game from within geforce... or whatever video app is installed...also window graphics options has ability to force game to use certain graphics adaptors ..for example nvidia control panel/3d settings/ choose program settings. and make a template for valheim app as you see fit

First step would be to re-validate your files sometimes when you install a game something gets left out if that doesn’t work try to reinstall.

Unfortunately neither of those things work. I load into the game, and it takes a long time, so I click the game and it crashes.

Well that I am out of ideas I’m not super familiar with bug fixing with this game but I’m sure one of the regulars might have an idea.

What are your computer specs and you may need to make an exception for Valheim in your anti virus program.
