hopefully the obliterator actually has some kind of output, like the recycler in system shock 2. otherwise, i am fine just throwing items into the river like the old days.

right now the best you will get back is some coal. There will probably be a mod that turns it into a recycler pretty soon, it not already.

Taking everything to the river and then dumbing each item stack one by one is a drag. Since the Oblit's UI is the same as a chest you can quickly move everything into it with a ctr+mouse click. If you have the mats and some gold to spare its worth making just for the convienience but to each their own :)
