Mistland weapons - bad or good?
the new bow wasnt impressive and the draugr bow seems better. same with frostner.
shouldn¨'t the new stuff be way better? seems like there is no point of getting new stuff really.
which weapons ARE better?
which weapons do you use?
(i haven't tried all)

The bow is annoying in that it yet again increases stamina use. I don't see why each weapon progressively needs more stamina to use - it's negating the extra damage they do.
This is really compounded in mistlands, it's a triple whammy.
First you have the terrain, which uses waaaay more stamina.
Then you have the HP sponges, soldiers who can take far too much damage.
Then you have the food, which really hasn't improved much from the previous tier.
Then if you want to do any magic at all, thats a massive stamina drain (as in your going to miss out on some food as your eating for magic).
Stop making higher tier weapons use too much stamina.

So many people here don't get valid points.Your point is lost as you clearly didn't read what I posted.

Welcome to the internet.
You got a fair point overall. It's not just stamina consumption, but the fact, that you make a weapon out of the better material and you have less durability than before. That's an annoying core mechanic Valheim had since the beginning, I accepted long time ago.
But in terms of stamina - on the other hand. It makes sense that a harder/heavier material needs more stamina overall. That's lore friendly. You can level up your skill, and the stamina consumption will be reduced extremly.
If you craft a new weapon at high tier which type you never used before, you can barely use it in combat. This is at first glance an annoying thing - true, but a very immersive balancing opportunity if you think about and makes absolute sense. It gives leveling an weapon so much more meaning instead of use everything. Specialising feels very rewarding.
Valheim is a game (or was a game before Mistlands) which lives from reward the player much more than punish him. Even if they punish a lot. This is one of the things I would highlight when it comes to "Valheims best mechanics" and why this game is so great. This core mechanic was there from the beginning of the game.
The durability on the other side felt out of place for me, but the devs want it that way. Better would be your durability penalty is bound on your skill level. I remenber to suggested this, it was highly upvoted, but no one cares.

This + using existing stamina food like blood pudding alongside with new stamina food and new HP food. Or just using the new health foods and face tanking seekers with root harnesk or mitigating dangers of climbing with feather fall. The game already offers you all the tools you need to overcome its challenges, even in mistlands.
Weapon durability is a bit of an issue, but you mitigate that problem by not relying solely on just one weapon type as well as increasing your skill (both weapon skill and skill at game in general).

They only have one improvements for each. Which really ticks my OCD given the fact that I cant help having only quality 2 items, but I'm pretty sure their gonna release the improvements during summer update(fingers crossed). They will only be considered good once the black forge and Galdr table improvements come out.
yeah but they have released the mistlands update already so Its bad that the improvements aren't already in the game =/

Eating more or better stamina food makes less impact compared to health. You don't regen your stamina faster, but you regen your health faster with more health food. You can level up your skill, and the stamina consumption will be reduced extremly.

The only thing you change about eating stamina only is, that you have a bigger empty stamina bar. My stamina bar is always nearly zero. It doesn't matter how big my bar is, as soon some stamina comes in, I consume it. Get the timings right of fights in which you can regen is the key.
The only thing makes a difference is the regen time. You have a potion in Mistlands for that. I tried it, but I personally feel nearly no difference with 25% more regen speed. Our archer on the other hand, used this potion with a lot of impact. I don't play with bow since a few 100 hours ago, so I don't know if this statement is true.

You can't regen stamina when using it, such as when trying to reach higher elevation to escape or for better positioning for the battle. You don't need any more health food than you need for parrying attacks. So you need to find the balance between the two, and there exists suitable options for that.
The stamina regen potion makes a difference over longer duration, as it lasts the same 10 min duration as the other "stat buffs" like resistances.

a lot of side grades because they can only be raised to level 2 currently.
the standout is probably the demolisher, because it is 3 biomes higher than the last sledge.

To me the appeal is in alternate materials and damage types. Poison won't work everywhere, and I find silver is a pain to extract and process due to the huge quantities it's required for weapons.

The whole new equipment is slightly better. However, the armor isn't worth it to craft, because you can just upgrade it once. Half of our group stayed padded. It even looks better than the new armor.
Even not every enchantment on the gear is good for every biome. So you need more context in your question. Our archer liked the draugr fang better, because of the free poison on the arrows. Reducing one slot for not needing additional poison arrows to carry around.
I like the new sword. Though the look is awful compared to other swords. It has no "sharpness" anymore, looks more like a WoW sword, slightly lesser main damage than black metal sword, but the slow effect is awesome. The spear is badass looking and a nice upgrade to make overall if you like using spears like me.

the padded has less armor though...
yeah i use draugr for bow. for the free poison. they should probably make the new bow better still. maybe hit even harder to lack up/no need for poison.
right now Im only using dragur bow and frostner but would be nice to have something else.
i have full armor set, silly though that the new cape has LESS armour though. sure nice with no falling damage but the new cape should have at least same armour stats =)
