how do you make these blocks fit properly?
Is the game missing a bunch of block types? Or did the devs only give us a half fast selection?
i stopped playing when hearth and home was months over due, and came back recently.
these marble blocks, the arch has a beveled grove on it, but none of the other blocks do what so ever.

the marble is missing 2 key blocks for asthetics that the stone has, square pillar, and the type of stone arch that can be used to look like a seamless arch, for both doors and the look of ceiling corner supports.
love the look of the darkwood, but there is no floor type other than the stone and basic wood.
you would assume one could make a fancier looking floor out of fine or core wood, that would be considered hardwood lumber, and have a few nice patterns, or the darkwood floor to match the nice frame and roof.
and finally, the cage floor or walls, do not let smoke threw, which i finally noticed.
anyway, back to my question on why i am posting.
how do i make that marble arch look like its meant to be there and not just random lego'd in.

marble floor and dark wood look good together. But the lack of a DW wall is an issue.
The marble arch is the only piece with that cutout and it does not fit well as an arch. Its occasionally handy as a shelf or cut out to stick a tub through (to vent it outside) or the like.
The best look for the marble arch may be to embed a 1x1 that will obscure the cutout.
It also is sort of OK if its a hanging arch (arches, one of their good points is they glue to a wall without under support).
The darkwood arch/door looks really nice in marble. Its an easy, nice looking alternative:

this is tricky. I have no mods, and it took me a couple min to get it to go. It finally went by getting the mouse in just the right spot, as you can see.

I trust you can hang a pair with nothing under them and judge for yourself if that has merits. Its sort of clunky, but it may be ok if done carefully with the angled wall pieces to make an oddball entry or something.
