beams
the beams to my roof is set up with a simple cross beam design now in real life this design is strong and is a build to code but its still shows the beams being red this limits building up with wood on a unrealistic level this souldnt be the case bc if you looked at your roof at your house you would see the same build design i went for is there any way to fix this problem

it is designed to be realistic the physics are all based on real life math this comment was unneeded like this follow up one my main thing it to point out the issue not to get peewees import

Nah OP is correct, the design is a bit flawed and has been since the beginning. But since we´re not getting any content updates nothing has changed yet. This is a game and doesn't work like real life.
Stability is determined by how many building pieces you're away from a piece connected to the ground. The more pieces away the more unstable it becomes until it just falls down if you try to attach it. Blue is the most stable (attached to ground basically) then green, yellow, orange and red.
So in this case if you're attaching your beams to a wall section that is (for example) orange the beams aren't going to all of a sudden give you green support.
There are building materials that will provide ground support for two or more building sections which will allow for larger buildings to be constructed.

Hard to guess at what the problem is without seeing any images. Make sure the foundations of your structure are all actually touching the ground, indicated with blue highlight

A lot of the 'structure' in my buildings are just for looks. They are mostly single story but being in the home improvement field before retirering, The roof hanging in space was intolerable.
