Lox randomly 'frighten' ?
What is causing this? I have them on my little island base, which is far enough out to sea even when events spawn, nothing attacks the island, there's nothing near..and yet I'll just see my low just start charging around with the red exclamation mark over their head as if attacking something...they love stampeding all over my stuff for no reason..

Oh...that may be the case, I didn't even think of the windmill. That was in the area they were kept. Ah well, not an issue anymore, I got a friend and we loaded them up on my boat and took them across the water to some meadows where I had built a proper pen. Now nothing can harm them and they can't smash my stuff!

no, What I have done is found a spot off the coast of the plains and raised the ground up. I'm far away enough that nothing has aggro to the base, even during events they just spawn on the main land and leave us alone.

Are they near any furnaces, windmills or kilns. That's my next guess is that their freaked out by man made processing equipment.

Yeah..I even took down all the torches and hives or anything else, but they still keep running around randomly

Could they be freaked out by the bees then. I tried taking some lox to a mates compound and they were hitting stuff and bees were close by

Fish ??? Could they be scared of certain bulidings? Could they be getting hurt by anything like smoke inhalation/fire. Dumb question are they tamed?

lol, yes tamed..and nothing was hurting them EXCEPT when they stampede and hit the bee hives.
I tested a few things such as torches etc, and none of them caused them to panic, at least not when testing...

Did you name them? Scold what's his name lol
Spend mopre time with them mentioned in the upgrade notes.

Well, I'm still in the plains biome, so don't think it's that, tho that'll be interesting since I'm planning to ship two across to a large meadow area nearby where I can breed them in relative peace...so we shall see
