The OP is right. We have reached the end of the current road map. That update you linked is coming up on a being a year old.

It also says if you actually read it:

...and we’re temporarily taking down the roadmap whilst we make some changes. We are sorry it’s taken us so long to update you.

Plus you have neglected to mention any of the half dozen developer blog announcements since that road map news post.

Which would mean making the game so easy and the player so OP that they feel awesome.

However, then they will complain about a lack of content because they blew through it (like most do here), or complain that the game is boring (because it's too easy).

Just throwing this out there, that wasn't really a roadmap update, that was them telling us they are going to temporarily REMOVE the road map because they needed to change it and they still haven't thrown one back up. Not a single person will have the answer but a dev. Its been almost a full year without a road map and the only thing we know they are planning is mist lands. Would be good to know their plan going forward.

They are probably hesitant to put up another roadmap just due to the huge stink there was with the first one.

I mean the huge amount of people who complained and beat that horse into dust about everything on it and making wild assumptions (took the money and ran, abandoned the game, etc), and the claims of promises from the devs that were never made.

Probably makes them think twice about putting up another one, and I personally don't blame them. No pleasing anyone in today's entitled society.

Yes, it shows updates, but the updates are obviously coming out of order from the original roadmap, so it's fair to ask if there's an update to the roadmap as well. Also, the Discussions are the place for asking questions. If you don't like a question that's asked then maybe, look away from the screen and ignore it? Or, just answer the question without attempting to make low-key backhanded comments. It helps nobody and certainly only reflects on you. You talk about "saving everyone time", except then you just wasted even more time typing out a reply that neither answered the question, nor contributed any meaningful dialogue. It's very illogical.

This is a fair answer, thank you. I was curious because I really have my eyes set on the "Saga Worthy Seas" update, thinking to get back onto Valheim once this one comes around. But ya, I'd rather they take all the time they need to get it right. I think the oceans are arguably the most important biome because they have the potential to remain incredibly perilous regardless of level, equipment, or number of people. I'm hoping that at the least, we'll see waves that can crest and break, and oceans that take several days to cross. At best, rogue waves/troughs, and creatures comparable in size and threat to something like Charybdis from greek mythos.

So effectively we've had the Hearth and Home and Cult of wolf updates (simply put, the frost caves content), both of which other players found underwhelming in terms of what they consider "real content"; altogether anyhow which is about half the original roadmap. Mistlands is next, and supposedly its gonna be later this year, and likely more fleshed out in new additional features and content that people are expecting, and the devs seem excited about teasing that.

no road map atm, they are working on mist lands atm.

This question gets asked over and over again, but usually it's a complaint about how much time it's taking. Good to see someone who values the concept that good things take time.

The answer is that no one knows. Hearth and Home has come out and another update that might have been Cult of the Wolf. They're working on Mistlands now. Things might not end up looking exactly like the original roadmap because it sounds like they test things as they go and come up with new ideas depending on what works best. They're not just checking things off of a list, but instead are still actively coming up with ideas. They're probably more or less moving in the direction of the original roadmap, but it might not look the same by the time they get there.
