there is a antler pickaxe you can make after killing the big deer then after that i think is the bronze of the workbench is needed for antler one and the forge is needed for the metal ones

Recipes show up when you pick up the stuff used to make them. In the normal progression the first boss drops antlers which when picked up give you the recipe for the antler pickaxe. That's the first one generally available.

After that, picking up or making an ingot of the metal used to make the particular version will give you the recipe.

The "Source" line in the recipe tells you what base structure is needed to make it.
