Original Sea Serpent AI seemed more natural
It was recently patched so the serpent wouldn't run away after taking too much damage. I actually liked the original system. If the big ugly creature, that's used to winning every fight, takes 50%+ damage, it would run away pretty often.
This worked out well for early game play, when you don't have the extra item to make killing a serpent worth while. So it seemed part of natural game progression that it should run away, until you had proper tools to kill it.
Thoughts?

This is not natural in nature. Rage mode simply does not exist in the animal world Not really natural but convenient for the early Player who sails at night. I mean its a huge monster who was running away, even when harpooned. No defense except running away. When we talk about natural, for me, the serpant schould go in some form of rage when he realises that he is dying.
Rabies 😁

This is not natural in nature. Rage mode simply does not exist in the animal world, if the animal knows its only option is to fight, it will fight, if it starts losing it will run if It beleives that option is viable. If not it will fight to the death. Not really natural but convenient for the early Player who sails at night. I mean its a huge monster who was running away, even when harpooned. Now, serpents I agree I prefered when they ran away, It meant meat was more valuable, also getting 2 serpents back to back early game now means 100% Your boat will die before the 2 serpents. This is a problem, they should run if they want to. Id rather not die in the ocean
This is not an actuall animal, you know that? Its a fictional sea-monster

If you're playing solo it's really hard to chase and shoot at the same time. Would probably end up having to go search for and re-acquire the serpent after it ran away. Granted, serpent stew is really easy to make so maybe it should be harder to acquire the meat.
