Blood Magic should be hard to level, it's incredibly powerful. I doubt they intend anyone to start the Ashlands experience with much over 50 Blood magic skill.

On a side note, did you know you can use Blood Magic to protect your tamed animals? And this in turn, can be used to safely transport animals in the longship or with the Harpoon (ANimals will get the harpooned effect even with the shield up)

Riding atop a battle Lox using the Barrier and watching the lox stomp everything into dust is 100% viable battle strategy, at least anywhere but the MIstlands.

Yeah, leveling it up is kinda trash. The protection staff alone makes it a super ideal skill to get to a high level, but the only way I’ve found to actually level it up is to camp in the swamps at those places with body and bone piles as my skeletons kill the stuff that spawn there. There’s like 0 way to level it up by just using it a lot as the dead raiser requires at least 2 eitr food which is not something I do on the regular, and I often don’t let things pop my barrier often enough for that to be worth it as well. Hopefully they add some more blood magic staves in ashlands to make leveling it up less of chore

they should add seeker orbs like the dwarfs have or healing skill for others

The skill can also be trained with Dead Raiser, and according to the Fandom wiki, the barrier already grants XP when it takes damage in addition to barrier breaking... but of course there's no source for that.

Yes there is: the fandom wiki is "official", edited/updated by presumably Iron Gate. I've certainly seen it be wrong/omit things, but it is actually a primary source from the horses mouth.

But it can still be freely edited by anyone without including any references.

Then it shouldn't be the official wiki, that's on Iron Gate - either in sanctioning it, or not prosecuting it.

The amount of exp needed to level it up needs to be severely altered, i'm at 50 and it already takes ages. But then again, so does elemental magic, too late in the game obtained and too much exp needed.

Exp gained from the bubble shield also needs to be changed, only by it breaking is horrible, every hit needs to give exp. Combined that it only refreshes existing shields' timer instead of also their health is even more of an oversight.
