The most dangerous part of the fight was when a golem wandered in, as apparently she's the one thing they wont aggro on.

Bosses are friendly to everything except the player.

have at least 2 portals, both reasonably far away from the summoning stone and don't go near them during the fight unless you are retreating.

Making hidy holes under/behind big rocks is not that useful, Moder's attacks will pulverize even big rocks in only a few hits.

Considder digging a safe hole UNDER Moder's summoning stone, it is completely indestructable and can give you protection while your stam/HP reg. I do this and it works, Even put a Portal in there when I can, but the way the stone is shapped underground you can't dig out under it very much. I always bring a stone cutter bench and put a bunch of floor stones to act as a roof. teh cut stone seems to have more HP than raw stone.

Keep a chect with frost resist potions next to your respawn point to use if you need to recover your wolveskin cap form your marker.

Have a good AOE weapon like Stagbreaker with you, one hit will clear the ice crystals Moder's breath attack leaves all over the place.

Very annoying to fight. When she is in air use a bow with poison arrows. When she lands however.... melee will do far more damage but if there is even a slight difference in elevation between you and her your attacks will start to miss a lot.

It is very possible to overprepare using the food and gear that becomes available in the mountains. You can do the entire thing using a bow quite safely as long as you use the terrain to obstruct her breath attacks. Just make sure you avoid taking long breaks between attacks otherwise her health regeneration is going to drag the fight out.

easy boss. just use draugr fang and obsidian+poison arrow. Her attack was easy to dodge. You can build trench around altar too if you want. She can destroy rocks but can't destroy the altar foundation.

Extremely easy if you have five fingers in each hand.

I fought moder after about 130ish hours on my first save and I found her/him to be a relatively easy fight. bow and arrows make it even easier but moder does come and land and you can lay in to it with melee and if you got at least silver armour then you dont really have anything to worry about (unless they made it harder which I kinda hope they have as I found that boss to be a bit of a joke).

Moder wasn't hard for me, but the fight dragged on into the night, and the other spawns ate me alive. Multiple drakes, a stone golem, and a pack of wolves, all at once... It overwhelmed my solo play.

Getting my corpse back was an even harder fight, Too hard in fact. I finally quit that world, gave up, and started over.

Bows, arrows, frost resistance, best foods, health mead... and watch the time. If you drag fights out, like I do, it might be worth it to get to the boss area with the eggs, stealth, and wait till dawn to clear out nearby spawns and summon Moder. This way you have all day for the fight.

Almost trivial. Modor is kind of badly coded and designed. Definitely use cold resistance, though.

Modor flies a while, uses a breath weapon in the air, and lands, where she can either claw or bite (if you are nearby) or use another breath weapon. The flying behavior works well enough. You can shoot her with arrows, particularly fire arrows, during this time. The breath weapon is nasty, but is pretty well telegraphed and relatively easy to avoid.

When Modor lands, she's barely able to move. Maintaining range is easy. So, there's no reason for you to even have to deal with the claw or bite attack. It isn't really a great idea to try to fight Modor in melee - both you and Modor will have trouble with vertical hitbox range, and stuff will unexpected miss, hit the ground, etc. (this is the badly coded bit). She also has a breath weapon which doesn't have a lot of range, and is still well telegraphed and easy to dodge.

So basically as long as you bring a ton of arrows, can dodge halfway competently, and don't try to mess around in melee range there's almost no difficulty at all. It was easily the lowest difficulty boss I've killed so far.

Either bring a spare bow or build a repair station for the one you'll be using. She eats a lot of arrows, she also spends most of the fight flying so while you can try to do some melee damage I highly recommend relying on bows!

Most hints have said to bring fire and poison arrows and rotate between them to keep the damage ticking. I'm at 280 hours myself and haven't even gathered the eggs yet to summon her.

I'm focusing on building a fortress in the plains to repel the guardians of the dark iron!

I built a stone fort and summoned her. After she quickly destroyed it I just ran around shooting with arrows. Her breath attack is not to hard to avoid.

Everyone says bows bows bows... Honestly yes you do need them, and quite a few arrows. But both times I killed him, I did waaaay more damage with my melee weapons with just a couple hits. Used roughly 50-70 arrows on each try. No deaths, no repairs. It's a fun fight. Make sure there are no mobs to join you (that was... rough).
