When I fired up the game today, I discovered that one of my portals was gone. After I eventually found new cores and rebuilt it, I stepped through only to find that my house on the other side was an older build of the house, without all the upgrades, gardens, etc.

What's going on? Is this a known bug, or could it be the Steam cloud that's thwarting me?
