I guess you have to find flax and barley to unlock Spinning wheel and Windmill.

Stone, iron, iron nails, leather scraps, surtling cores, coal, wood, fine wood......off the top of my head, these things are used for making these things.

Yes, to all of the above....still item not showing on crafting menu If items don't show up in crafting menu, I can't craft them?

Once the artisan table is placed, that should've unlocked them. I'm sorry, i don't have an answer. To be clear though, in crafting menu, you do mean the hammer, right?

I don't think they unlock until you also pick up barley and flax

Please excuse the shouting :) IF YOU ARE MISSING WINDMILL AND OTHER ITEMS YOU SHOULD CRAFT SOME IRON NAILS!! I went nuts trying to find the answer, and found it by accident. I crafted them and all sorts of things appeared. Windmill, sewing, big boat, etc.
