Yea... but most don't have the cloak and potions, it certainly does not start that way. It takes a bit of time to get to that point. I'm not a big fan, but it does add variety, though with the Rested/rug nerf, it make it that much worse.

The jagged terrain makes exploring prior to the feather cape a bit of a slog. IMO the mist would have paired better with flatter terrain similar to the swamp.

I view mistlands as not fun, as do the friends I play with. The terrain + fog makes the zone rather not playable.

Terrain doesn't personally bother me, I would say I have more of an issue with mobs / progression. 🙂 Just got a Wisplight, and I agree with others that the range needs to be increased. It's not very useful as it is right now.

You can construct wisp torches everywhere you go (without workbench). I'm not sure if it still happens in the current update, but gjall may be able to break them (their spawns have been reduced). They can also be placed inside structures (jotun skulls are my favorite place) to protect them from occasional fireballs. Seekers should ignore them entirely.

I think the biome is just an overall progression of difficulty all around. The terrain is not that dissimilar to Mountains; you need to move carefully up and watch your stamina bar. Not being able to see is a pain and I think a slight buff would be helpful. Since I play solo, a wisplight that we could put on the bow of the ship would be really handy since it is almost impossible to take a boat through the mist.
But like Swamp or Mountains, altering the terrain to make things easier might work, though there doesn't seem like there is a great need since most things are teleportable and one deosn't need to go back and forth to a crypt or silver vein with all the metal.

why are you fighting up in the cliffs? All the enemies are in the more even spots below.
