Yeah but like people have said elsewhere, you need to start a new seed after Mistlands goes public because this update is going to change the way the landmasses are generated to make them bigger for Mistlands. After the update your seed will still have the old smaller landmasses.

Yeah dude, don't bother...they are more concerned with maxing out sales on other platforms than paying attention to the community that made them successful. I talked so highly about this game and now look like a clown convincing my friends to buy into it. Seriously even more disappointing than the release of No Man's sky...and the fact that they have made literally no attempt to tease and keep players up to date with the progress really exposes how the developers view it's players. Wish I could refund to be honest.

The developers got what they wanted.
All we get is questions about food, valheim has become a chef simulator.
The game had a huge potential at the start, if the developers had correctly disposed of the earned funds, and would not have gone on a six-month vacation, the game would have become a bestseller.
It's just, a little disappointing that after so much time, even half of the promised content didn't appear in the game.
Many, like me, fell in love with this game in the early days...
You should not be surprised at such a pace of development, after so much earned $$$.
I just put this game away, in a distant drawer.

I mean, a lot of people expected IG to be more decent than they actually were.

And am I correct that the most recent "update" created cross-platform but just across other PC stores or whatever? I thought it was actually cross with xbox and told my friend to get it, only to release that the functionality was implemented but it's not ACTUALLY available on xbox until like 2023? wth

Why is everyone wanting mistlands so bad, why not far north, Ashlands or ocean. I'd rather ocean to come out asap lol

I tried to give them a lot of credit and benefit of the doubt, it's super polished for EA in terms of how it runs, but yeah, the lack of content and communication is really disappointing.

I think, and I could be wrong, but it's only because it's the only biome the devs have mentioned working on. Otherwise, yeah, I agree I'd like those too

Probably because it was confirmed to be in development and we're all craving content and new challenges.

I didn't even touch on the fact that there are two other Biomes that haven't even been mentioned : Ashlands, Deep North.

I 100% agree, and I'm disappointed too. I've tried hard to be supportive and understanding of the devs here. As someone who mostly plays early access games, I have to be patient by nature otherwise I would have given up a while ago haha

However, Valheim:
A lot of EA games have some sort of roadmap, to keep players interested, and I believe Valheim had one and abandoned theirs early on. A roadmap doesn't have to be specific to a month, but something... like a season or whatever. Something! People who have played the game clearly understand that there are biomes that will be fleshed out and are not yet implemented. So of course, people are going to be wondering when.

The updates are really random and the "teasers" aren't much at all. No dates at all. I do understand that with such a large amount of sales probably caused issues that needed to be fixed. Fine. But with no dates or any indication of time for content updates, it's getting harder and harder to support them.

So I'm totally there with you.

Some time this year hopefully. They apparently decided to not release it last year, mainly so that they could bug fix the game after it "exploded in popularity".
