Frostner question

When you hit something with the Frostner do you get different damage numbers or just one big number? is the frost damage a proc or constant?

Being able to slow an enemy with frostner in my opinion is more valuable than anything.

The frost is good, but the damage is on the low side unless exploiting a weakness to one of it's damage types. Fulings don't have a blunt, cold, or silver vulnerability. If you're already heavily invested in maces then go for it and just upgrade to the porcupine as soon as you can. If you're a spear or sword main though you should skip it for now. It's good against Yagluth though.

Check this out if you like: https://www.ign.com/wikis/valheim/Items_List -- It has all stats of everything.
Frostner has weaker blunt damage than the fully upgraded iron mace, but has a useful
slow down effect on most enemies, including Fulings.
I'd compare the silver damage to poison damage. It melts health away over time on those affected. The silver weapons come kinda late I think. The mountains where you attain that stuff come after you're essentially done with the swamps, where silver weapons are most effective. It's kinda as with Stagbreaker and the Troll Armor which you can only fully upgrade at a point when they have long since become obsolete.
I haven't finished Moder yet and am starting to explore the plains and Frostner serves me
well. Blunt, bow, spear play style. Iron Sledge has it's uses occasionally, the Aitgeir's are
interesting & I don't like the battle axe.

Frostner does 3 damage types. Blunt, Frost, and Spirit. The Blunt and Frost are applied instantly, with the Frost leaving a short slowing effect. The Spirit is applied as a DoT. Wet stuff automatically have a weakness to Frost.
When you hit something you should see different numbers for the Blunt and Frost, and then a DoT for Spirit. (the colors of the numbers will indicate weaknesses/resistances, if you see no DoT, its because the enemy is fully immune to Spirit)
The biggest downsides are: It is far less likely to stagger enemies because the Spirit damage isn't factored into stagger as its a DoT.
Anything resistant or immune to any of the damage types takes significantly less damage.

In Regards to Fulings, Fulings are fully Immune to Spirit damage, meaning about 20%+ of Frostners damage is negated on them. It does slow them which can help fighting groups.
It's best to upgrade to a dark metal weapon or the Porcupine as soon as you can in the plains to combat Fulings. Once you do Fulings go down much quicker.
Do not use Silver weapons against Fulings, you'll lose 1/3 or better of damage due to the spirit resistance.

Do critical damage on wet monsters ( leechs always get 1 hit kill less 2* ones , these take 2 ) but not these were on a rain , the real wet debuff in monsters are when get a little swim in a little body of water
But make normal damage in almost every monster less in lox and trolls but them get slow frost debuff that is very good for crowl control ( thats why i think is far better than silver sword until u get black metal sword tier 4 )
Ah and do DoT on undead monsters as said above

Spirit damage seems to be DOT <damage over time> But does not show any number while ticking off that I have noticed. The cold part IDK.
