can i play with random players
is it possible to join random server or friend invitation is the only way of co-oping?

Try the LFG section of the forums.
Every server will be pw protected because there are too many trolls out there.
So yeah, either start one with friends, or try and find random people to message and see if you can join them.
Even then you might not get into one, as people are weary of strangers on their servers. GL!
