No worries there I always start a new seed with a new character for any update .. run up probably close to 30 worlds now... so I have plenty to choose from when any update hits if I don't feel like starting over.

Thing is I have even had bases in the Far North and never seen a wolf there.

The devs have said that it will come to the Public Test Branch some time this year. That's a great opportunity to help the devs by testing it, also a great opportunity to just mess around and have some fun with it before it goes live.

The release to the main branch will then depend on how many bugs / balance issues come up. In the worst case this could apparently spill over into early 2023.

Will the whole biome zone not load or only the explored part of it?! Like of i did run 10 meters into a mistland zone, will the rest of the zone load?

Yeah, it's basically just the area they're planning to build the Mistlands within. You'll also make it to the Ashlands and Deep North too. Those actually have enemies there, but just surtlings in the Ashlands and wolves in Deep North.

Back when the game first blew up early last year, they were in the game and full of stuff. No creatures or Materials, but there was a distinct vibe to it. Like the Black Forest with spiderwebs everywhere. The silence freaked me out.

Anyway, they seem to be empty now. The devs said that the mistlands will be compatible with older worlds, so it'll be there in your world when its released. Pretty awesome stuff
