Sharing saves can only find backup

My friends and I share a saved world and whoever hosts will copy over the DB and FWL file when they get off so someone else can host and no progress is lost.

I can take the files and copy them into the worlds folder where the world will show up on my list of worlds to chose from. When I go back to worlds to copy the files over so my progress isn't loss when someone else wants to play I can only find the old and backup files.

The files with just the World name DB and FWL are no where to be found. The closest I have come to finding it is in Worlds_Local folder where the files are last modified 15 hours before last session ended,

Why can't I find the files to copy over and send to my friends?

Why would you suggest this, when it has nothing to do with the issue at hand, and costs money? That is not what the OP wanted.
TBH, it's a valid option. They switch sharing save files back and forth so that someone else can host while someone is offline, and a hosted dedicated server would certainly solve the issue of save files getting lost in all that mess.

No, it is not a valid option. Not everyone wants to rent a server. A local dedicated server would be more valid in this case. It is frustrating how many people in so many threads recommend everything under the sun as a solution, except that which solves the problem.

Before you posted this I originally found the proper world saves but like most things I learn through trial and error and somehow I messed up and the world within the user# folder wasn't the "current" world save, but I made many tests throughout the day and finally have it working and your thread helped, thank you!

Dedicated servers would solve this but it's not my turn to buy it and no one wants to purchase it, so saved files it is lol.

My opinion on a post like this is no it doesn't help, however if I had no idea about dedicated servers than it would be a valid post, though not helpful in my current situation; it would prevent the problems I was having. Though we can't all throw money at our problems as much as we all wish we can :P

Um, yeah, it is. And since they're swapping around world save files because of not being able to be online, it's more viable than a local dedicated server. Read the first post before you rant.

It's probably cheaper than you're thinking. I'm renting three servers now (but only have one active, one for testing, and another that's going to be up soon), and I'm certainly not rich by any means.

How about you read what was written again, hmm? You have this idea that because you thought of something, it must be valid.

One final time, read what they wrote, and the solution is apparent: not renting a damn server.

Last post I'll make, because OP was able to solve their problem, but I can read just fine. I can read that they're not able to all be online all the time, and so they share the save files so that one person can more or less always have the game up. Your "local Dedicated server" is not a solution to that. A hosted option is. Your temper doesn't change the facts.

Whine all you want, but accusing me of your poor attitude and popping off at the mouth is your fault, not mine.

Here's a quarter, call someone who cares.

If you're not using cloud, worlds_local is what you want. It's what I use to backup my saves.

I'm using cloud. What I don't understand is why my most current world save all show as old and backup. There isn't the most recent save in my folders and as far as I am aware it's suppose to be but when I launch the game the world that's on my game is current. I just can't compress the files to send to others.
