what's the worst dungeon you've found

the RNG dungeons are interesting, but they can really be disappointing.. i actually found a Sunken Crypt with only 1 pile of muddy scrap in it.. it was pretty much right next to a Bonemass and nothing but dead ends..

of course the very next crypt i found had 150+ iron in it, so it sort of made up for it

You didn't say which game so I am going with this lil known cave system in World of Warcraft vanilla at the far end of Sillithus that has no use or mobs or anything, it's just a named cave with no use at all. Microbes would be bored in it.

Worst crypt? Someone I know had one of those big indestructible trees spawn in the door so he couldn't get in, so couldn't even get mushrooms. ;~;

I built a fire and a wood grill in there and called it Camping Cave on my map. :D But workbenches can't be put down (from my very limited tests in crypts and caves), so anything that doesn't need one might work.

A sunken crypt with zero rooms, and zero nothing, not even a yellow mushroom. At the entry point, the 3 corridors were colapsed.
In my 5 or 6 runs, it's a first !
Just before entry, I had to battle a 2 stars Draugher and an abomination, all this for no sweetroll. < So desapointing>

I guess worst is subjective.
my current play-through (2nd attempt at this) I decided that I wanted to minimize dying, going for zero deaths of course but I know better than to expect that forever. Regardless, I find my first black forest crypt and start creeping around... and it has one of those go down a level ramps, and that had another go down a level ramp... and at the bottom it had MR. ** Rancid Remains. He poked me with a finger (presumably to see if I was fat enough to eat yet) and I fell over dead somewhere down there running away but poisoned too badly to make it. I came back to it much later and cleaned the place out (in that sense it had a lot of loot) but it was a rough start to the BF.

The swamp, you have small ones but there are always scrap piles. Its the forest ones that get me, the epic slog through the whole thing and you get like 1-2 cores if that, and some of those are large instances with tons of enemy and just don't have much loot. Then you go into some little one with 5 rooms and get 10. <random> is <random> I guess :)

ouch that would suck.. no bellows, no brazier.. how about onion seeds.. my current world i have a full set of the new wolf gear, max crystal battleaxe and all max silver armor, etc.. but i have seen onion seeds in exactly TWO mountain chests.. i have had them for a long time, but i keep checking chests to see if i just found a strange distribution or something, but not so far.. turnip seeds are rare too, and i saw a skeleton GO OUT OF ITS WAY TO ATTACK AND DESTROY A WILD ONE while a few of them were in combat with me..

or maybe https://valheim.thunderstore.io/package/LottieVixen/Build_In_Dungeons but that's not been updated for a year.

It really wouldn't hurt to have some minimum requirements for dungeons and have the generator re-roll anything that doesn't meet them. I see too many staircases to non-existent second floors.

Not sure if this works with the current release but it has some information about the generation algorithm:

I had one crypt that in the low 60's scrap wise. But it had some interesting treasure in it. Lots of chain, bones, etc.

I found a Frost Cave that was just one long tunnel connecting the left entrance to the right and a short empty tunnel in the middle. It had a swarm of bats and maybe an Ulv or two and NOTHING ELSE. But wow, would that have been a great location if we could build in dungeons.
