Comfort Change?

Over years, literally, I had the perfect setup for a 21 comfort spot in my 'main base'. Now it's 18... I literally changed nothing. Sad. Why?? Just explain why, and I'll be content with that. Dumb change in my opinion, but hey, what does that matter.

There is already a thread about this, rugs no longer stack. This means you don't have to place a deer rug, under a hareskin rug, under another rug etc. to get maximum comfort, instead you build one to receive the bonus.

Can you explain why the same spot now magically dips down to 16 while I'm just sitting there, not moving at all? And back up to 18? The hot tub is fully loaded... There's no shelter issues... Nothing else was changed except for the rugs?

'Hareskin' Rug didn't fix anything... still sitting at a dodgey 18/16... when the exact same spot was a solid 21 before the patch. Lame.

You're going to get one point of comfort from rugs, no matter how many you use or what kind. Their justification is that no other kind of furniture stacks comfort, so rugs shouldn't. I think that's stupid, given it has stacked for rugs since the start and I'm pretty sure no one jumped off a cliff because of it.

Bear in mind that both rugs & carpets don't stack now, so it is more a loss than just animal rugs.

e.g. if before you had 22 comfort (everything able to be made as of yesterday - maypole would give 23 but needs either natural find, console command, or prior build during event with maypole enabled) -->
-We now lose 1 comfort for each of non- stacking items
-deer rug
-wolf rug
-lox rug
-hare rug
-red jute carpet
-blue jute carpet

The six items above formerly stacked to give +6 comfort, they all now combine to +1, net loss of 5.

So former comfort 22 yesterday is now 17 today (from losing 5 of the 6 formerly stacking rugs + carpets)

Personally, I just modded the lost minutes back using Valheim Plus, but understand not everyone wants to use mods, so up to you.

just a shady nerf by the devs, hopefully they fix it, literally effects nothing aside from player satisfaction negatively.

Thanks Mozzy! Wow. That's just stupid. Especially since it's been like that since the beginning. I don't imagine they will go back. But in my opinion. Dumb 'fix' that was not needed, AT ALL. And agreed Tha_T1p, just negativity impacts players satisfaction. Especially loyal/long-time players. Newer players won't care because they don't know. Dumb move on their part. And actually, so much work put in to negatively impact long-time players... Tired of a large fan base Devs? lol
