Noob Question
I wanted to ask how Co-op works, since want to play it with my friend. Can we play from start, just like that hop in and it's done?

There is some bigger servers that are better managed with this situation in mind. Look up Comfy Servers and their large community server that helps eachother out and has resources occasionally respawned with an active economy.

you need to settle to another island in order to loot more dungeons.
Did you loot all dungeons?
I mean this game make fun but this game will not at their end, because it has a bunge of bugs and design mistakes, e.g. Unity engine and no own engine like world of warcraft.
It has no really concept what they want to go further with that game.

The game is ment for coop/close friends. Not for normal multiplayer servers and the like, and as you saw what the problem is with it. Hi guys !
So yesterday I joined a server on which day 130 is already. I'm also relatively new to Valheim and my question is the following:
You can only loot dungeons once and the other players have already cleaned up a lot of dungeons. Does it make sense for me to continue playing on the server? Or maybe I am missing important items now. On the other hand, it just bothers me to have come so late. What do you all mean ?
Just play singleplayer, and mabye play it with a friend or 2.
Theres no reason to play on that server you talked about.
But you could take all the stuff you have gathered, and moved to a singleplayer world.

while you may be with friends and want to continue there, I also suggest moving to a new server or your own solo. If you have a reason to stay, you can ask for the surt cores -- there are metric tons of them available to established characters -- and do most of the rest of it at your own pace to catch up. Iron will be a problem at some point. Ive mined literally a couple thousand iron and still run out and I honestly don't see how groups manage at all. This may be bias, though: I use hundreds to support building projects. If you stick to wood and keep the height down, maybe you don't need so much :)

I was spending so much time grinding for building mats that I made said ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and spawn it materials for building projects (only). It's ridiculous how much time is needed to pick up the stone necessary for a medium keep.
I feel like they should have made it where it's not an entire iron ingot for pillars, but rather a single ingot will make 10 iron supports, that then go to the reinforced pillar. We've already got nails, so lets use those to augment building instead.

I suggest getting off that server and finding a new one with a fresh start, or playing single player.

The map is very big. I guess it depends on exactly how much of the map have they explored.
But if you are new, and they are on day 130, if they have defeated several bosses it will make it rough on you to progress. This is because of raids triggering randomly that bring lots of enemies at you.
Just starting out, I'd personally recommend doing your own map. Once you get the game down good, then join others who are like minded.

It is exactly as you said it and I have a damn hard time on the server because basically every opponent is too strong for me. Doesn't feel so great to know that every dungeon around me is already empty. I will start a solo game first.

Right, unless you rent a server from a 3rd party to run it 24/7. So that means if the host is not running it other player cannot play then right?

What!? I thought this game had dedicated server software bundled with it. Can't one player just run the dedicated server on any ole machine they leave running?Right, unless you rent a server from a 3rd party to run it 24/7. I don't see why paying to rent one would be required

Oh, I mean you can probably do that. If the server rental companies have figured it out then you could probably set it up for yourself. Just a lot easier for most people to rent for ~$15/mo rather than investing in a server machine at home. What!? I thought this game had dedicated server software bundled with it. It's peer to peer, and the host can play their world offline when their friends aren't around and then invite them back in seamlessly.
