Boss fights should adjust themselves depending on player count.
Not everyone has friends, y'know. Or do you guys hate introverts?
Just kidding, just kidding. But honestly, the game should pull a Borderlands and make itself easier / harder depending on how many people are playing it. Boss fights are very slow, tiresome and overall boring in solo; all you do is learn the pattern, learn what to do, and repeat it countless times while the absolute bullet sponge boss just stays there trying to kill you.
Moder boss fight is also quite perhaps too difficult with all these wolves distracting you while that dragon is still attacking. I can imagine it being quite easy with friends to take care of each part of the fight and quickly bring the boss down, but solo?
Overall, that's just what I think. The game would be a lot more fun if it adapted to the player count and became easier or harder depending on how many people are playing. Any thoughts?

I've killed Moder five times now. Not a single time did I have to deal with wolves during the fight. She doesn't summon wolves, you've just either missed a spot or two or are really really unlucky with the spawns. Really? It doesn't seem very effective, unless if the game is force-locked into hard mode or something. Either way, I'm not interested in grinding like hell just to beat a boss. You guys might like that, but... Yeah. I've had enough with Bonemass already. If you are fighting wolves with moder that means you need to clear out the area better first. She doesn’t summon adds but is often near spawn points for enemies.
I've mined in the mountains for a long time and was only attacked by a single wolf and a single drake. Meanwhile in the Moder boss battle, I was constantly attacked by wolves (no drakes though). Everytime I killed them, more would spawn and attack me. The area was even clear before I summoned Moder. So... I think you're wrong. The only way this all could happen was if she was spawning wolves in the boss battle.

Also, as far as Moder, I always set up a little shack nearby with a workbench by the summoning altar. The workbench keeps enemies from spawning nearby.

Re: Moder... you might wanna bring an extra bow along. My Dragur fang bow (lvl2) busted. I had to get one from my kids body while she brought another from the base. I tend to agree that the fight is perhaps overly long. To be perfectly honest...the MOB AI is an area that needs a LOT of work still. It's very basic.

So you're gonna make lox meat pie, blood pudding, and fish wraps before taking on Moder how? Time travel? I recommend eating Serpent Stew, Lox meat pies, and either blood pudding (for more hp) or Fish wraps (for more stamina).
That or cheats :)
Believe the best food items at that point you can get are, Lox Meat, Serpent Meat and Serpent Stew.

You won't have fish wraps, lox meat pie or blood pudding until after you beat Moder and get the tears. Best you can do unless bypassing game mechanics is serpent stew, lox meat and sausages. The key to this game is preparation. Always be wearing the best gear you can possibly have for boss fights and it also helps to know their weaknesses. I have never had difficulty with any boss in Valheim running solo.
I know there are a variety of weapons to choose from and some of them are just bad-A**. However, I find shields are almost a must and most of the enemies will be dealt with fairly easily using either sword or mace(slash or blunt). The exception to that rule is Trolls. They are weak to piercing weapons like bows and spears. If you can learn to parry well (block right when an enemy is hitting you), you should find most enemies easy to defeat. Use any weapon you like if you can use a shield with it.
Common sense tip: Never fight bosses at night. The spawn rates of enemies will at bare minimum have you annoyed and you don't need that during a boss fight.
The Elder is weak to fire.
The first boss that could be difficult is Bonemass imo. If you want to survive this fight, poison resist mead is a must. Also, you should be eating good mid-tier food (Sausages, turnip stew, etc.) Lastly, I recommend having a maxed out Iron mace/armor (personally I use maxed out Troll armor until I'm ready for the mountain biome). Bonemass is weak to blunt weapons. If you have all these, bonemass shouldn't be a problem.
Moder on the other hand can be more difficult. I recommend eating Serpent Stew, Lox meat pies, and either blood pudding (for more hp) or Fish wraps (for more stamina). Personally I use the fish wraps because running out of stamina has led to my death more often than relying on HP alone. I recommend you have maxed out wolf armor/silver weapons and a maxed out Draugr fang bow. If you don't have the recipe for this, you probably haven't harvested muck yet.(It can be acquired by using an axe on the bright green bubbles/spots on trees in the swamp biome). Always use frost resist potion on top of your armors. Dig trenches or build shelters before the fight in case things get hairy and you need to recuperate. Most will tell you to use "fire" or "poison" arrows for this fight but I found using a stack of Obsidian or Needle arrows may work just as well. Lastly but this should be obvious, bring healing meads! If you get hit, you will be using some but if played smartly, most of moders attacks can be avoided.
For Yagluth.... eat the best foods you have and wear your best gear/weapons, use healing meads, and be smart and use Bonemasses ability for damage reduction and you should survive the fight.
WARNING!!! Fulins will start spawning in the meadows biome after defeating Yagluth! If you're like me and hate the random attack events (I wish there was on option to just turn them off....to each their own) To avoid this, I recommend using an alternate/or friends seed to defeat him if you don't want Fulins at your door on the daily.

Prep the fight area.
Trench around to prevent wolves getting involved.
Dig a pit and drop gollums in.
Moder and Bonemass are not bad fights at all if you prepare first.
If you got all that silver and only killed one wolf then I can only say you were super lucky in not getting attacked .... although not having killed many wolves means you probably didn't have enough materials to make wolf armor.

The game does adapt to player count. I did all the bosses solo no problem you just need to prepare properly. Fully upgrade, bring the right weapons and potions, and clear out the boss spawn area first.
Valheim only punishes you for being repeatedly reckless and not learning from mistakes.
