Again, many thanks! I will check out Pilgrimz, and thanks for the tip on the curved walls! I love the building aspect of the game, along with many others, of course! It's nice to take a break from Exploring, coming home, and doing a reno, or building a new base in a newly-discovered region!

You can do pretty nice stuff with the base game. I'm not nearly as good as these guys, but I made a little hut, that's nice and cozy as well as my main base, a little farm.

How do you do these screenshot previews in your posts?

It's fun discovering little "tricks" both building and general game play! Lately, I have been collecting Dragon eggs and placing them on display at various locations using the little, flat display stand (not sure on its name, lol).

Its hard for sure. I have made a couple of nice looking places, and they were unlivable inside. I have made some awesome interiors that look just awful outside. I am a lot better inside than out... and really struggle to get it both nice and practical inside and pretty outside.

Look out for peices that are in impossible angles and you'll know the answer

There's mods that more than triple the amounts of building pieces available, and other mods that let you rotate x, y and z. So it all depends on which build you saw.
If you post pictures of the builds you wonder about, it'll be posible to answer your question.

Depends on the build. Some builds use all kinds of cheating like removing limitations on height or allowing additional rotations and more.

My son who is anti-mod, built a massive, magnificent castle, mostly out of stone. He complained quite a bit how hard it was to fit certain pieces to others. I built all the outbuildings and most of our portal outposts. After he quit playing, I downloaded Valheim Plus for its Advanced Building Mode, which allows me to rotate any building piece on both the Y & X axis, and its Advanced Editing Mode, which allows me to fix certain pieces that never seemed to click together quite right, and reposition stone blocks on dilapidated wilderness towers, which have many stones no longer in their original positions.
