i cannot find yagluth!

462 hours of gameplay and i have NEVER seen a yag altar or the veg thing.

so throughout my u 4 playthrus (2 online and 2 solo) i have yet to find this boss or its location marker.

pretty sure this is what has turned me off of this game each time.

all th other bosses are super easy to find: eik, just need 5 min in meadows. elder, hit like 3 burial crypts. bonemass, same as elder just hit like 3 crypts. moder, the altar is so common u likely stumble upon it before u find th veg. buuuut frign yagluth! man!! i can never find this bastard lol

like i know where to look; henges, fuling villages, near most any structure rlly, and even open fields. tried scouting by ship too. i know this is one of the most elusive things to find. i know i can look up my seed and find it that way, but id like to not "cheat".

on this current playthru ive rlly committed to finding this f!ck*r, but ive cleared like 10+ large plains regions and still nothing.

this really needs a tweak imo---462 hours and still cant find it---cmon man

That seed seems to have an odd distribution of vegvesir, and some strange boss distribution, as well; I'm not surprised you're having difficulty finding Yagluth.

The screenshot you provided makes it difficult to judge where exactly you actually are, because we can't see the landmass through all the map icons; for future reference, you can right-click the selectors on the bottom right to turn off each class of icon.

I did look at your map on the world viewer.

Go south-southwest from your marker for The Queen; the Plains you find there will be the correct ones to search for the burning one you seek.

Passing between the two mountain ranges will get you in the right neighborhood, and I see two vegvesir on that island, both of which are quite near (but not in) swampy regions.

thanks to your hint(s) i found it in like 20 min---and yea like many ppl have said in separate posts; th veg is like right on top of th frign altar almost---that def needs a tweak imo

East side of map looks like where I'd head off in search of Yagluth. Load up a ship with materials for base and go!
When you come to swamp keep going and when you get to mistlands turn around. Stay in that plains range.

edit: no I didn't look up seed - just my experience with exploring. My 12+playthroughs... I'll agree that Yag needs more of the vegvisir (sp?) things. Look for the stonehenge type sites.

Keep at it. I finally found Yag in my world. Found the Vegistir at a henge with 2 Beserkers. Are you sure you didn't miss it? It was the 4th plains I searched. 2 which were really huge. Now its time to lay a beatdown on it. Funny thing once I sailed to the altar island I found, within seeing distance of the altar, another Veg on same island. Seems like a waste to me.

Some people want to explore the content on their own, but the difficulty in finding the Queen can cause undue frustration. Having someone else give you a "hint" can feel better than revealing your entire map.

Yeah I did a few map reveals struggling to find the trader or moder. After that I just get someone else to do the seed and give me a general direction. I will even give them a copy of my current map so it gives a good direction.

Some seeds jsut have a really low amount of pointers and other have them everywhere.

I actually found one of the altars before finding a pointer in my previous world.
I usually struggle with Moder, takes about a dozen mountain zones to find a pointer.

You could also pull up your world seed and look at the map and find one of them.
Or have a friend look at your world seed and give you a hint of a general direction.
