Time goes by too quickly

it seems I only just wake up, slap up a few walls and fell a few trees and the Sun goes down before I know it. It's ridiculously fast. Is there any way to slow time ?

I agree with the opinion on the length of day/night cycle.

Wouldn't bother me to see night just as long as day and the both of them being longer in the minutes, of course, do adjust the food timers as well. That part is fine, it's in the physical length before the cycle I find a little 'quick'...

"I never sleep, I have beds for respawn only. Trying to remember the last time I used a bed to sleep."--me too, sleeping doesn't seem to do anything for my gameplay. I stay up all day/night doing activities...eat when I need to and 're-comfort' myself when the timer is up...clicking a button for some dialog, m'eh?!?

The only time I 'sleep' is when I want to explore a dangerous biome and it's night cycle...then I sleep to get to the day cycle.

Sounds like another instance where the players want options but heaven forbid this game gives us any.. I like the game as is.. but I also always carry a portal and just TP home every night at 6 on the dot and sleep and rebuff.. so I don't mind the night.. it doesn't really exist to me.

I would also like the ratio to be a little different. 30/10 or even 35/15 But some might not like such a long night. Not as close to reality, but still perfectly believable. I imagine the max rested buff getting you through one day and hope we get up to 35 min rested buff by end of game. I also find myself asking, "wow its night again??" Guess time flies when your havin fun!

is console->devcommands->timescale not enough? (never used that to adjust day length, but it should accept numbers < 1)

You're wanting to skip the entire game and go straight to your retirement villa with it's hot tub and cup of hot cocoa. What you're saying makes no sense for the vast majority of the game, where you're working your way up to that retirement lifestyle.

The way it is, you can go to sleep at 2 pm, which is reasonable for those with the minimum rested buff. With an "average" rested buff, you can stay up till dark and enjoy a bit more time in your day. If you're at a place where you have max rested buff, surly you have plenty to do around the house at night. If not, how long does it take to plop in bed?

Okay.

Do you not think that you're a bit out of touch with the needs of most of the other players?

Do a bunch of run/jump training in your home during nights so during the day you become an agile chad.

If you are in the meadows or BF just work all night and have free building mats come to you. Greydwarves have good drops. Never enough eyescream or portals.

do something boring, or watch a pot of water trying to boil, always stretches time out

travel toward higher gravity objects, or travel faster, slows time too
