The game players bought was early access and playable in that state as per the rules of EA on Steam (look 'em up). Everyone knew what they were buying.

There's having thin skin but the abuse and entitled vitriol was and is NOT ok. I don't blame them for getting rid of it. It serves no purpose whatsoever.

I'm not saying that your reply is worthless, nor am I saying you don't have a right to it. Quite the opposite, I'm saying that other people have a right to their own opinions.

That being said, the Mods here are kind of forced with impossible decisions. Threads like this and threads discussing updates and pace of development, where people do express their opinions, they tend to get attacked by people saying "herpa derpa you knew what you were buying, it's all your fault, excuse me while I fellate the developers." And those people respond in kind, and then the entire thread turns to poop.

The Mods have seen this time and again, and the only real "solution" is to lock or remove threads before they get out of hand with petty insults and worthless bickering.

My feelings on the "Rant & Vent" thread being deleted is... disappointed.

Wow. I thought turning into a flame war of trolls was what it was supposed to do, and the rest of us could just ignore them.

Perhaps the problem was that having their own flame wars didn't keep trolls from doing what they do in other conversations, anyway.
