Smoke issues

Has anyone been having major issues with getting smoked out in areas of your buildings where there should not be a possibility of smoke. I have had this happen in multiple buildings where the fire/smoke source is not in a position to cause getting smoked out, but it does. I have tried destroying the source and rebuilding it among other things and it doesn't fix it at all. I even get smoked out after destroying the source. This is ruining building plans.

There is even a wall between it. This spot literally has zero chances to have smoke, yet it does even after I destroyed the fire source. I have only seen these issues on the 1st floor of buildings also.

If it is truly smoke, not fog, I'd submit a formal bug report.

On stone buildings I make a chimney with a cap on top.

I start with where I want my stone fireplace. Set it in place followed by pillars on the four corners. Destroy the fireplace and put pillars on the inside. Once again set your fireplace. It will slide perfectly between the pillars. place 1 X 2 stone on the longer sides and 1 x 1 in between until you get outside the roof or 1 stone floor section from the roof top. On top of the roof use 2 stone arches pointing toward 2 more. Place two stone sections on top.

The arches and stone sections on the roof also work if you have smelters indoors.

Are you sure that is smoke and not fog?

If you have good ventilation in the room with the fire source then you won't have smoke pouring everywhere. A high ceiling is good enough even if you don't have a chimney.

High ceiling rooms + ventilation.

If you want you could invite me to investigate your building and purge any smoke demons.
