I'm learning to keep my eyes on that timer. Problem is (and this has happened to me more than once) you can't take a potion while one is active. I've had blobs come at me while my timer is winding down to zero........... it can get tricky. And of course sometimes I forget. And I die horribly.

I pulled over 8 out of the one I just found. It's extremely variable.

I think you are correct - the long narrow ones tend to come up empty. Not ALL the time, but as a tendency for sure.

I'm that far away now - starting to notice more two stars out and about. The draugr especially are more dangerous since they're not quite as susceptible to blunt as the skeletons. Yeah it pays to be on your best parry-game with those buggers. The crypts themselves are quite easy to clear with careful digging and a huge hammer to pound the ground with. Getting to them is the problem.

I can barely parry the one stars without being knocked on my ass, two stars, I get staggered parrying and take massive damage.

Use that to find sunken crypts.

My world has like, 10+ all clustered around the same area, and I haven't even fully explored that swamp. Just world gen RNG being a pain to you.

I don't like the idea of just using the valheim world website to find things like crypts, considering the fact that if you want to just see one feature, like how many crypts are in an area X, it shows you the entire map.

But anyways, it is pure RNG, but the best chances to find one is in deep swamps. If they're long but narrow, then it's pretty unlikely to find any, but your chances are better in thicker type of swamps. Of course, you first got to find and explore them, so, not the most useful advice.

If you're just short a few iron recheck the crypts. They don't regenerate (iron) but sometimes you might find a few you couldn't get at,. Just try different angles, most of them will pop on a jump swing.
