Not till you get to swamp, then you can make poison bombs from slime and leather scraps. I still use bombs during raids all the way in the plains biome. The poison doesn't do damage to buildings either so great for those of us who don't cheese the raids with earthen walls.

Not that I know of, but who knows what comes in the future. :)

Quicksand Riggs dives into a lot in regards to defences in rather short clips on his channel, I'll recommend you view them.

No. They can't destroy the earth made walls. If there is enough of an angle to the walls they can climb them still. Be sure they are as close to 90 degrees as possible.

Link didnt work for me.
No creature can destroy walls of raised terrain. But drakes from the mountains fly over them, and Blobs might be able to jump over them.

Works now :)
Only potential problem I can see might occur, is that some mobs damage will reach high enough to hit your buildings, since they can walk up to them, not being stopped by a moat. Mostly thing trolls and berserkers. Not sure though.

Yeah that height and angle are more than enough... but you really want more distance especially for the trolls that swing the logs.
