Where are you getting the numbers for swords and clubs from? I just went to check the wiki and they're only 2.4m in terms of range. Again, the wiki can also be wrong so I'm going to take that info with a pinch of salt.

I main both clubs and polearms (with like skill levels 60-70ish) and personally, it feels like atgeirs have longer reach than maces (well, logically they should do).

They take 2 hits with a copper knife.

They were nerfed early on, and have been that way since February. I would consider their current glass canon state to be quite fixed.

Very easy to kill...one wooden arrow will do it with a Fine Wood bow or better. Also, if you have upgraded (level 3 or 4) bronze or better armor and swamp food (sausages & turnip stew) one hit won't hurt that bad....and then you can one-shot them with whatever weapon you have. Personally, I prefer the bow method: Just keep backing away from them until they come at you in a straight line and shoot them.

They're still as annoying as they ever were. You just gotta learn to deal with them. After that? They're pretty easy to kill.
