If you go fight bonemass with that will one shot you , people that said that can fight with it are cheesing it with some platform and never get a hit surely
But yeah you can crush first boss and get a good fight vs the elder ( with troll set at lvl 3 ) but full troll armor it gets at lvl 4 , and troll set can upgrade to that lvl when you discover obsidian

You don't even need armor to take Eikthyr. You just eat some meat and have a weapon(s) with enough durability. I think a troll is scarier than Eikthyr lol

Friendly touch of irony perceived, but thanks for the advice. I already used trolls to provide me enough copper to build forge and bronze pickaxe, and even cauldron before pickaxe. I'll try to use them in the Swamps if I find a suitable terrain (on top of finding metal scraps).

Lox hide ape, Wolf Fur cape, & Wolf armor chest, all grant immunity vs. frost. Where ever one is (not just mountain biome) after 6:00 pm game time, cold sets in reducing ones regeneration abilities slightly, so if one is going to continue fighting into the evening hours, it is a good idea to swap in one of the aforementioned frost immunity gear pieces.

Brah troll hide armour is what you do moder with, knife and shield

You will destroy Eikthyr

With this gear you are prepared to deal with the Bonemass already. Don't forget to take the antivenom mead with you and for sure build a portal near Bonemass spawn point (on the top of nearest Sunken Crypt e.g. which you can ev. fortify with dirt wall using the hoe). Enjoy it and good luck

Your gear is sufficient for the elder too. Bonemass, you may want to wait on an iron mace and some better foods.

I killed Bonemass in your armor with a bow, so yeah, I think you can kill up to Bonemass.

Firstly, as mentioned several times, you are way overgeared to fight Eikthyr... Generally you can fight him in little more than your starting rags, a bow with a few flame arrows and dodge his attacks by using the various standing stones as cover....

That being said... I would like to point out that there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with over-preparing, and it even becomes essential that you do (over-prepare) throughout the rest of the game, for your best chances of survival.

The first Boss is a cake walk... after that the game gets serious.

Do you mean Eikthyr? You can take him down with leather armor, a flint ax and wooden shield. You're gonna be bored fighting him in troll armor.

If you're doing trolls easily, Eikthyr should be a doddle.
