Speculative. Based loosely on the fact that the Dev's had said Oceans was next, after H&H, but later decided to pump out Mistlands.

What other biomen would it be? deep north and ashlands are futher ahead content.

god i mined so much of that stuff but lost it all on a guys server glad i dont need for a good year or so anyway

you can smelt it into its metal form, but has no use further than that.

ashlands isn't out yet, nor is the far north. You are not expected to have gone there, really and may want to avoid doing so given the partial world reloads they have been doing only where you have not yet seen.

The content exists in the code to craft certain something(s) with flamemetal.. but that is not available to players at this time. At least, not without modding.
